The Bindery Specialist is responsible for achieving all production standards while maintaining quality through proper usage of all processes and procedures. Superior attendance and positive attitude is required.
Set up and run all bindery equipment including but not limited to folders, collators, drills, straight and 3 knife trimmers, perfect binders, and gluing equipment.
Maintain acceptable production speeds.
Maintain excellent product quality through all phases of production
Understand and comply with U.S. Postal regulations, DMM (Domestic Mail Manual) as required for processing mail.
Understand, complete and verify all necessary paperwork and Shop Floor functions as deemed necessary.
Check and verify job components against sample board.
Maintains clean and organized working area, recycling appropriate materials.
Perform duties safely and maintain a high level of safety awareness.
Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
Excellent hand, eye coordination and mathematical aptitude.
Able to lift 50 lbs. And grasp bundles of material up to 4" thick repeatedly.
Stand, bend and stoop for periods up to 10 hours a day.
Must be multi task oriented.
Uses sound ethical principles, striving to work harmoniously, having a positive affect on everyone they come in contact with including coworkers, clients, suppliers and prospects.
Associates are expected to attend classes & training thru Gabriel University and other outside sources in order to fulfill their continuing education requirements. These requirements vary based on each associates level. In addition, associates must be committed to excellence at every level, be team oriented and effectively interact with all associates.
